The Quality Lead – Specialist Behaviour Support will ensure the quality of Positive Behaviour Support Plans developed by HenderCare's Behaviour Support Practitioners, as well as compliance with the Positive Behaviour Support Framework and all NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission regulatory and legislative requirements. Working within our Governance, Risk and Quality team, the Quality Lead – Specialist Behaviour Support role has been created to provide oversight of Specialist Behaviour Support services offered by HenderCare. This position Is pivotal in ensuring high quality and evidence based Specialist Behaviour Support service provision at HenderCare. About the Role The Quality Lead – Specialist Behaviour Support role will provide oversight of Specialist Behaviour Support capacity and ensure timely delivery of Specialist Behaviour Support services. In this role you will have the following responsibilities: Undertake quality checking of all Positive Behaviour Support Plans (PBSPs) developed by HenderCare Behaviour Support Practitioners to ensure the provision of high quality PBSPs that are compliant with all NQSC regulatory and legislated requirements. Provide oversight of supervision, training and mentoring to HenderCare Behaviour Support Practitioners to ensure competency and compliance with regulatory requirements. In collaboration with the Quality team, develop and oversee implementation of consistent policies and procedures for Specialist Behaviour Support. In collaboration with the Quality team, provide management of Positive Behaviour Support referrals by triaging, monitoring team capacity and appropriate allocation of referrals. Provide high quality Specialist Behaviour Support services to HenderCare participants if required and achieve participant defined clinical outcomes such as reducing behaviours of concern, reducing and eliminating the use of restrictive practices and improving participant's quality of life. Demonstrate a high level of interpersonal and communication skills to develop relationships with team members and stakeholders such as parents, families, carers, guardians, advocates, behaviour support practitioner colleagues and other service providers and deal with issues of a sensitive nature. About You We are looking for innovative and passionate people who thrive in a fast-paced environment. You'll show a strong commitment to high-quality client care using positive behaviour support practices, have detailed knowledge of and experience in delivery of Specialist Behaviour Support and understanding of all regulatory and legislative requirements.  You must have: A tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work or other relevant allied health areas is desirable. A minimum of 3-5 years' experience in specialist behaviour support Experience working with clients with a range of complexities using a Positive Behaviour Support approach.  Detailed knowledge and application of the NDIS Positive Behaviour Support Framework. Well-developed knowledge of person-centered approaches Experience and knowledge of challenging behaviour and intellectual disability (desirable) Demonstrated high-level written and verbal communication skills.
