ABOUT THE ROLE We have an opportunity for an experienced Quality Inspector. This opportunity will provide the successful candidate an outstanding full time employment package, with Monday to Friday operational hours, with an exceptional wages package.
Role Location: Darwin Role Type: Full Time
The Quality Inspector is required to review job specific documentation, including reports and certificates to ensure compliance. The candidate will also require the ability to understand the concept of QA and be able to perform in all aspects of Quality Assurance.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES Ensure appropriate communication of standards, expectations and procedures to the operational team through pre start safety and information discussions and meetings.Selects, prepares and directs the use of appropriate equipment in a safe and productive manner that contributes to safe practices, damage prevention and productivity.Directs and manages the performance of the operations team on the job to ensure a safe and efficient operation.Liaises with Agents and Vessels' Chief Officer to ensure all tasks are coordinated consistent with sequence of discharge and load plans.Complete and process all required documents including damage, discharge and load plans.Communicate and liaise with vessel Chief Officers and client representatives to ensure that performance objectives are achieved according to the vessel plan.Monitor and ensure compliance with employment terms (EA's), OH&S and Environmental legislation and company policy and take necessary corrective action.Resolve queries and issues raised by the workforce relating to policy and practice and elevate the issues to the Operations Manager when appropriate.Identify and submit hazard and near miss reports. Conduct safety observations and recommendations for corrective action to the Operations Manager.ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
Relevant qualifications and/or training in job reviews.Strong communications skills and high attention to detail.Understanding and knowledge of ISO 9001 standard requirements.Energetic, effective and positive work style to fit a dynamic team, dealing with high work volume and tight deadlines.Conversant with Microsoft applications.Capable of learning a variety of supply chain, planning and scheduling software.Experience working with contract management and past delivery through suppliers.Experience in Oil and Gas Operations is preferred, but not required.Willing to work in a process-driven organization inclusive of problem-solving and continuous improvement.Why QUBE?
