We are looking for a candidate with a of Minimum of 2 years' experience in a Quality role within a small batch/high mix electronics manufacturing environment. Also open to candidates who have a strong PCB career in a quality support role or Test Engineering background, looking to step up and into this role. We would expect to see a CV with PCB Manufacturing experience, and a high level of exposure to quality requirements such as process, production, compliance engineering etc.
Good communication skills are essential as there will be a requirement to meet with or speak over the phone with customers and also liaise with colleagues. You must be computer-literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. Auditing experience to at least ISO9001:2015 (AS9100:2016 preferred). Good knowledge of Quality Management System standards and requirements.
IPC 610 and IPC 620 qualifications would be desirable
Reporting to the Quality Manager the Quality Engineer role is wide ranging. You will be involved in maintenance and improvement of the company Integrated Management System, which is certified to ISO9001, AS9100 & ISO14001.
Key Responsibilities:
Support in all aspects of Product Assurance ensuring all internal & customer requirements are satisfied. Plan, carry out and record audits to ensure quality levels are maintained. Support non-conformance management (failure analysis, root cause corrective and preventative actions). Assist the Test & Calibration Cell team lead in the co-ordination of the calibration & tool log, including performing internal calibration activities. Generate AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports, including the maintenance of the FAIR Log. Supplier evaluation through received documentation approvals including Supplier AS9102 FAIR review. Carry out good's inwards inspection. Support correlation of quality key performance Indicators (KPI's) for NCR Process, Inspection, production defect reporting, Corrective actions and re-training This position is based on a 4-day working week, Mon-Thurs 07:15- 17:30 (39 hours per week)
