The Opportunity

We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Quality Engineer/Specialist/Advisor to join our team in Melbourne, Brisbane or Perth, on a full-time permanent basis in the Infrastructure Delivery (ID) division.
Reporting functionally to the Quality Assurance Manager and taking work direction from the project team, you will be responsible for supporting the implementation of quality assurance management systems and processes on a project, or multiple national projects, to meet appropriate standards (e.g. ISO 9001 for Quality Assurance). You will oversee and coordinate the planning, implementation, and supervision of the project quality management plan.
Key Responsibilities Reviewing quality-related supplier/contractor documentation, and coordination of related inspections with external inspection service provider(s)Attending regular project, supplier and contractor progress meetings, and liaise with procurement / package engineers, ensuring quality of goods / servicesImplementing industry standards and regulatory codes, and maintaining quality assurance systems across the project(s) to meet appropriate standardsLiaison with customers to identify & monitor quality requirementsEnsuring the implementation of training related to quality assurance & project improvement initiatives & programs for project team membersIdentifying and implementing appropriate quality tools to monitor & improve project performanceYour background Demonstrated quality management experience in a similar position on major infrastructure projects (gas industry preferable, renewables also advantageous)Auditing experience desirable (lead auditor qualification preferred), welding experience preferred, general fabrication knowledge acceptableProven ability to enhance and build quality management system / frameworkEffective internal and external stakeholder management skills, aligned with APA's behavioursRecord of delivering results, using operational efficiency and commercial acumen to effectively implement business strategyWorking at APA
