The Quality Director will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality management systems (QMS) to ensure the highest levels of product and process quality.
This role will report directly to the CEO and will be a key member of the leadership team, driving strategic initiatives that promote a culture of continuous improvement, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence throughout the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:Quality Management Strategy:Develop and implement a comprehensive quality management strategy that aligns with the company's business goals and objectives.Lead the organisation in achieving quality certifications and regulatory compliance relevant to the semiconductor industry.Quality Systems and Processes:Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949).Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor, analyse, and report on quality performance across the company.Drive process improvements to enhance product quality, reduce defects, and optimise efficiency in manufacturing and operational processes.Leadership and Team Development:Lead, mentor, and develop the quality team to build a high-performance culture focused on continuous improvement.Foster collaboration across departments to ensure that quality principles are integrated into all business processes.Compliance and Risk Management:Ensure adherence to all applicable quality standards, industry regulations, and customer-specific requirements.Proactively identify quality-related risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring that all products meet or exceed customer expectations.Supplier and Vendor Quality Management:Develop and manage supplier quality assurance programmes to ensure that all materials and components meet required specifications.Work closely with suppliers and vendors to resolve any quality issues and drive continuous improvement in the supply chain.Customer Satisfaction:Act as the main point of contact for customer quality concerns, ensuring prompt investigation, resolution, and communication of issues.Lead root cause analysis and corrective action plans for customer complaints and non-conformities.Innovation and Best Practices:Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements in quality management.Implement innovative quality methodologies to drive Dukosi's competitive advantage in the marketplace.Key Qualifications and Experience:Proven experience as a Quality Director or in a senior quality management role, ideally within the semiconductor or high-tech manufacturing industry.In-depth knowledge of quality management systems, methodologies, and standards (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing).Strong background in regulatory compliance and risk management.Exceptional leadership skills with a proven track record of building and leading high-performance teams.Experience in managing supplier quality and driving improvements across the supply chain.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of influencing at all levels of the organisation.Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., Six Sigma Black Belt, Quality Auditor) are a plus.Key Competencies:Strategic Vision: Ability to translate strategic objectives into actionable quality initiatives.Leadership: Inspires and motivates teams to achieve high standards and drive continuous improvement.Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical skills to identify trends, assess risks, and develop data-driven solutions.Customer Focus: Passionate about exceeding customer expectations and driving exceptional product quality.Communication: Clear and effective communicator, able to engage with internal and external stakeholders.
