About us Northern Tasmania is home to our Wynyard site which makes cheese and a range of powders for food companies. We take Tasmanian farmers' milk and turn this into world-class dairy foods for both the domestic and export market.
About the opportunity The Technical Calibration Coordinator is responsible for Equipment ownership of NIR and FTIR instruments and ensuring all laboratory equipment (pH probes, balances etc.) are calibrated and maintained to a high standard.
The role also contributes to the development and maintenance of the site's Quality Management System ensuring compliance with regulatory and food safety requirements, and corporate guidelines.
Key responsibilities: Assure the food safety & quality status of the site through inspection and audit Monitors and reports on plant compliance with relevant regulations, food safety, quality and customer standards Implements, maintains and improves the effectiveness of the food safety & quality system. Ensures the site's NIR and FTIR instruments are calibrated and maintained Support site sample registration and testing/sampling regimes Completing detailed and data-driven risk analysis About you: We are looking for candidates with strong backgrounds in quality and food safety ideally within a similar food manufacturing background. Experience with NIR and FTIR instruments will be highly regarded, but is not essential.
