Our Sydney office is recruiting for an experienced QC food science graduate to work as part of the quality team with a well-established pet food manufacturer based in Southwest Sydney. Our client is committed to providing locally sourced fresh and nutritious food to cats and dogs. This role is a full-time, casual day shift (8am-4pm) position. It is a 6-month contract to begin with but there are opportunities for a permanent role.
Duties
Routine and non-routine quality checks in compliance with ISO and HACCP standardsRaising and investigating NCRs and customer complaintsDirect involvement with internal and external auditsTraceability of raw materials and approved supplier programsMaintaining documentation and ensuring CCPs are achievedDriving food safety and continuous improvement projectsSensory evaluation and ensuring products meet specifications
Skills/experience
Bachelor's degree in Food Science or a related disciplinePrevious experience working in a manufacturing environment is essentialKnowledge of HACCP, GMP, SQFAbility to work as part of a fast-paced dynamic teamStrong computer skills MS Word/Excel
