What you'll do This role requires you to be working within a refrigerated environment for the majority of your shift.
Inspect and assess the quality, freshness, and labelling of fruit and vegetable deliveries at the distribution centre Ensure all produce meets Woolworths quality assurance and labelling standards Manage the banana ripening process to achieve the optimal colour and quality for customers Collaborate with the Fruit & Veg Commercial Buying Team to ensure we are delivering the best quality offer for store operations to enhance customer experience Report to the Senior Quality Control Officer and working alongside the buying teams to deliver safe, quality products in line with Woolworth's specifications and company KPI's What you'll bring Previous experience in Retail & Fruit & Veg is preferred.
Shift Work & Availability: Must be available to work overnight shifts (midnight - 8:30 am), weekends, and a Tuesday to Saturday roster Experience working in diverse teams with strong written and verbal communication skills is crucial Great adaptability & resilience skills; be able to multitask, stay composed under pressure, and embrace change A passion for retail, people, and creating a positive team environment is essential Experience in a regulated environment, post-harvest knowledge, and an understanding of supermarket retail processes are highly desirable What you'll experience We embrace diversity of thought and love to take on challenges with a pragmatic and innovative approach.
