This is a full-time, permanent opportunity and the working hours are standard office hours. This role provides leadership, direction and guidance to the quality control team and reports directly to the Head of Quality.Duties:Managing and coaching quality teams across day and afternoon shifts (including performance reviews, development goals, inductions, training matrixes)Quality control performance monitoring and reportingLead non-conformance investigations and implement corrective actionsTrending of customer complaints against QC results to identify areas for proactive improvementReview and maintenance of Standard Operating ProceduresOptimise production and packaging of products in terms of quality and deadlinesConduct risk assessments, investigations and reporting related to food safety and quality functionsOwnership of GMP standards, including conducting and coordinating GMP audits.Compliance with WHS legislation to ensure a safe working environmentDrive collaboration within teams across multiple shiftsSkills/experience:Tertiary qualification in Food Science or a related disciplineExperience working in a senior level quality role preferably in the food industry, with quality control and people management experience and proven leadership capabilityProven ability to lead teams and foster a collaborative working environmentStrong attention to detail and accountabilityExcellent organisational skills, ability to multi-task and timely reportingExcellent verbal and written communication skillsMindset of operational excellence – Continuous improvement, measuring and addressing performance, customer focusedCulture & Benefits:Our client is a family-run business that values a supportive work environment.
