Waters Abrasive Blasting Services (WABS) are a well-known professional blasting and painting company in Townsville that has been servicing North QLD for over 30 years. We provide leading quality services in Abrasive blasting, Industrial and Protective coatings, Industrial Rhino Linings, Polyurea coatings, Ultra-high-pressure water jetting (40,000PSI), and Vacuum loading.
THE ROLE
We are seeking the experience of a professional and competent level 2 NACE Coating Inspector in paint quality control to come on board and be an integral part of our team.
To be successful in this role you must have demonstrated and proven experience in similar roles including experience in the blasting and painting industry or project work as well as be able to employment medicals and regular drug and alcohol screens if necessary or requested.
It is necessary to hold NACE 2 certification and have proven experience in Coatings.
Duties will include but will not be limited to:
Maintain strong communications with the Blast Yard Supervisor, Management and our Clients Ensure all works are of a high-quality standard prior to being handed over to ClientsEnsure compliance with ITP'sDaily testing and inspectionsTake part in daily toolbox and safety meetingsProvide technical advice and assistance to the Project team on all quality related activitiesOrdering of paint and PPE as needed Be self-motivated, highly driven and have the ability to multi-taskDaily administrative tasksMaintain QA equipment, registers, and ensure compliance with PCCP accreditation Liaise with client inspection representatives, undertaking routine surveillance inspectionsCompile MDR & quality assurance records and ensure qualification records are maintained and client approvedAssist with the production, completion and collation of relevant verification documentationABOUT YOU
