Quality & Compliance Manager, Health Service Operations Diabetes Australia is the national body for the 1.5 million Australians living with all types of diabetes as well as those at risk and we are committed to reducing the impact of diabetes.
This is a permanent full-time position which can be located at any of our office locations; Brisbane, Sydney, Canberra or Hobart and offering flexible work arrangements working from both home and office.
You will be reporting to the National Manager, Group Compliance & Enterprise Risk working closely with the Group Executive and Senior Leaders for Health Service Operations.

Role Purpose: The Quality and Compliance Manager (QCM) will lead the continued review, implementation and improvement of clinical, quality and compliance systems, processes and activities within the Health Service Operations division in order to support best-in-class performance.

Key Responsibilities: Monitor and assess program consistency and compliance across states and programs and, alongside operational and program management, drive program quality and effectiveness. Monitor organisational systems and processes to ensure that internal and external recommendations are implemented, monitored and evaluated in a timely manner. In conjunction with the HSO Leadership, lead the identifying, development, implementation and monitoring of strategies to support the clinical governance framework including the establishment and implementation of HSO quality frameworks and improvement initiatives. Champion the Group's corporate policy framework and the ongoing development of the Group audit program ensuring compliance with ISO audit requirements as well as general performance audit. Lead the implementation of recommendations and reporting as required. Monitor and drive contractual compliance for HSO contracts, working with the respective leaders to ensure appropriate strategies are in place. In partnership with leadership and work health and safety committee/s, monitor incidents, near misses, and hazards reported, ensuring the appropriate investigation, corrective action and systemic improvement is undertaken. Lead the implementation of national systems, processes and frameworks for HSO to support on-going high quality and consistent service delivery. Required Capabilities: Relevant tertiary qualifications required such as allied health or public health, with demonstrated expertise in health service-related quality, compliance, and governance, or otherwise operations. Demonstrated capability in improvement of systems, processes, and frameworks in a health environment, to drive best-practice and high performance. Familiarity with ISO 9001 and other Standards. High calibre interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and engage effectively across all levels of the organisation. Developed working knowledge, written capability and experience in policy, procedure, administration, maintenance and improvement documents. Interpersonal communication skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and engage effectively at all levels across the organisation. Highly developed problem solving and analytical skills, and attention to detail. Contemporary approach to work practices that enable a flexible, digital work environment in the context of quality, audit and general compliance.
