Quality Auditor Rheinmetall Defence Australia Pty Ltd in Brisbane Rheinmetall / Quality Auditor Ref.-Nr.: AU01994 : Contract Type: Permanent Full-Time WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR About the Team Reporting to the Change Manager, you will become a key member of our dynamic Audit Team. You will primarily ensure the activities conducted across RDA comply with applicable standards and business requirements. This role will be based in Redbank at our Military Vehicle Centre of Excellence (MILVEHCOE). About the Role The Auditor is responsible for supporting the development of the risk based RDA audit schedule, conducting internal audits and managing findings to ensure compliance with applicable standards, regulations and other business requirements. The Auditor will coach less experienced part-time auditors, prepare and present reports, and continually improve the RDA audit process and function operation. The Auditor is also responsible for supporting the business through external audits, managing associated findings with key stakeholders and presenting actions. As an Auditor, you can anticipate some of your day-to-day tasks to include: Support the development and delivery of the RDA Audit Schedule based on management system certification needs and in consultation with customers and internal stakeholders; Conduct and lead internal audits of the Integrated Management System (Quality, Health and Safety, Environment, Welding, etc.), operational safety, quality systems and other functional or operational management systems; Support assignment of qualified resources to the audit schedule; Support the development of internal auditors through mentoring and training; Review the execution of the Audit Schedule and mitigate or escalate any issues that may arise with the execution of the audits; Support activities required for retention of RDA's ISO 9001 certification and other certifications held by RDA; Support activities for RDA to obtain new certifications or alignment with standards; Support preparation, liaison and follow up actions for external audits; Develop and maintain productive, harmonious and effective working relationship with the external and internal contacts and stakeholders and ensure that audit findings are communicated in a constructive manner; Facilitate audit findings from identification through to completion; Facilitate cross-functional team problem solving disciplines and initiate necessary actions to prevent recurrence of adverse audit findings; Facilitate progress of Production Readiness Review actions to completion; Support reporting as necessary to meet contractual requirements; Facilitate improvements associated with the RDA audit process; Ensure data integrity within RDA auditing software tool(s) and associated files; and Support Quality Risk management. The experience and skillset best suited to this role includes: 3+ years of experience in supporting integrated auditing programs or quality systems management Completed and certified as Internal Auditor (RBQSA, EOQ, etc.) Comprehensive understanding of ISO 9001 Knowledge of standards such as ISO 3834.2, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 50001 and other applicable standards and regulations. (NATO's AQAP standards knowledge is advantageous) Advanced interpersonal, stakeholder management and facilitation skills with the ability to effectively communicate with people of all organisational levels and technical ability Competent in the use of root cause analysis tools (e.g. 8 D Methodology) Ability to travel interstate and internationally when required; and Eligibility to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance (Australian Citizenship required).
