This role position also provides a critical leadership role to assist the business to instil Quality assurance outcomes to effectively prioritise activity based on will be responsible for conducting audits, investigations & risk assessments to identify key deficiencies within the business and facilitate effective corrective & preventative actions. Ensure all non-compliance issues are tracked through to resolution using structured reporting and escalation processes.Reporting to the AMO Quality Manger your key responsibilities include:Conducting and administering engineering investigations and auditsAnalyse available data to identify positive & negative trends. Prioritise and implement strategies using this data to identify system failures and best practices. Initiate & facilitate business improvements throughout the value chain using this data (I.E. both upstream and downstream of actual error)Working closely with other Quality departments to maximise the effectiveness of the audit program and investigations process based on known issuesManage the JQAMO authorisations (CAN) process for the MQA to ensure each engineer complies with Part 66 & 145 licence approval requirements.Manage the JQAMO vendor approval process through the vendor database and in the company MIS.Facilitate changes to the JQAMO Exposition & supporting manuals/documents/forms.Oversight currency of all JQ AMO manuals/& formsLiaise with other Qantas group airlines and external suppliers (Boeing/Airbus) to share relevant compliance be successful in this role you will have:Lead Auditor training or equivalentTraining in Investigative Techniques, e.g. MEDA, SMS, causal analysis etcAt least 2 years' experience in aviationProven record in initiative, determination and achievementA background in Quality, and understanding of Part 66, 145, 147 & 42 desirable.Understanding of WHS requirements and legislationUnderstanding of Human Factors principlesComputer literate with Microsoft suite of programs, and any specific training / data interrogations techniquesExcellent interpersonal relationship skillsExcellent communication skills, written and verbal, individual and groupsDemonstrable writing skills consistent with technical writing / publicationsAttention to detailExcellent customer service skills - capable of identifying customer needs - using various data sourcesWhat's in it for youOur team members enjoy access to unlimited heavily discounted fares to destinations all over the world - not only for team members, but for their favourite travel companions too.
