ABOUT THE ROLE We are looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Technician to join the Jay Jays team on a permanent full-time basis.
Reporting into the General Manager – Product, you will be supporting the QA team to manage fit approvals, product development, fabric testing, care labelling and ensuring all products meet the Just Group safety standards and quality compliance.
RESPONSIBILITIES Fit original sample with Product teams and recommend any changes based on styling, fit and fabric suitability Collaborate with the Product teams to issue clear teach pack which includes measurements and clear workmanship details for suppliers' costing and initial sampling Chair fit sessions ensuring Product team comments and QA comments are clearly documented for the supplier, whilst maintaining fit and workmanship consistency Liaise directly with overseas suppliers via email or video conferencing to further communicate pattern, fit and all QA related information when required Manage blocks and fit consistency whilst driving continuous product improvement Sound fabric knowledge with ability to read and approve Lab test reports Create fully graded specs for each Line Number Ensure all content and care instructions conform with Australian legal standards Provide quality advice to Product teams on expected outcome in bulk production and suitability of fabric Conduct regular store audits and provide feedback to the General Manager - Product and Product teams SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Minimum 5 years' experience as a QA/Garment Technician within the fashion industry.
