About the Role This position is responsible to monitor the consistency of material entering the factory, in-process check points during the assembly of TNA equipment and the out going product quality. Where deficiencies are highlighted then identify and implement suitable corrective and preventative actions (CAPA) so a demonstrable improvement can be measured.This role will be reporting to the Manufacturing Engineer Supervisor and will be based in Melbourne, . Key responsibilities:Identification of product non-conformances, their root cause and appropriate CAPADocument and keep up to date a register of all non-conformances, ensuring they are regularly reportedInspect each & every piece of equipment to ensure there are no non-conformances, investigate any cause and implement CAPAs within the specified limitsDocument product issues so that all affected parties (both internal and external) are aware of the problems and the CAPA. Establish and maintain a knowledge base of all known issuesDocument inward goods inspection, component and assembly in-process and out-going goods criteria & proceduresDay to day accountability and responsibility for the quality of the components being received from suppliers plus the final product being shipped out of the factoryReceive and maintain all customer queries and complaintsProcess warranty RMA parts, verify acceptability of returning parts, ensure part is return to original supplier for credit and investigationProcess and log daily, all customer complaints received. Analyse individual complaints for appropriate CAPA and communicate with all persons involved, including the person who raised the issue.Collate data pertaining to non-conforming products and customer complaints; prepare reports showing trends and other factors.Ability and authority to cease production and customer shipments, and quarantine any defective part within the manufacturing process.Qualification and experiencedegree in mechanical or degree in QualityMinimum of 2 years in quality assurance within a manufacturing environment"Batch Processing" involving complex engineering products will be a significant advantageLean Manufacturing experience is advantageous.Desired Knowledge and SkillsSolid knowledge of MRP & ERP based inventory management procedures and enterprise systems for inwards goods handling and stock control activitiesSound understanding of material supply and distribution chainsAble to read and understand engineering drawing including and understanding the application of symbols and tolerances.Excellent communication (written and verbal), presentation and negotiation skillsAble to problem solve & make decisions in line with organisational philosophies and practicesHigh computer literacy including a sound understanding of spread sheets and their application within the purchasing and planning environmentIf you are interested in working with a highly talented team within a culture built on innovation, then apply now or email your resume toIn order to be considered for this role applicants must have permission to work in Australia.
