construction company, specialising in Stainless Steel, Mild Steel, Pipework, Tanks, Hoppers,
Conveyors, Structural Steel Site Installations, Laser & Water Jet Cutting, CNC Press Work and CNC
Machining.
An opportunity currently exists for an experienced professional to join its operations located on the
NSW / Victorian border.
The ideal candidate will have a background in steel fabrication and have extensive experience and
knowledge of a variety of Quality Systems.
A key function of this role will be to maintain and continually
improve the companies following accreditations:
ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System
TfNSW Prequalification
Weld Australia ISO 3834
ASSDA (Australian Stainless Steel Development Association) accredited fabricator
This role requires the ability to multi-task, make informed decisions and proactively act on them and
drive their implementation.
To be successful in this role you will:
Have 5-10 years experience in the area of steel fabrication
Be self-motivated, proactive and have the ability to lead at all levels
Have extensive knowledge and compliance requirements of Australian and International Fabrication Codes & Standards
Have the ability to read and understand drawings (Structural, Mechanical, Piping)
Have excellent client liaison skills & the ability to coordinate contractors & suppliers where required
Have the ability to produce required reports & associated documentation
Have a can-do attitude with regards to meeting deadlines & expectations
Have excellent computer skills within the MS Office suite of products
Welding Supervisor and/or Welding Inspector qualification is advantageous
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct QA inspections and provide compliance certification upon completion
Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with Australian and International codes & standards as applicable
Develop PQP's, ITP's, Weld Procedures and Quality MDR submissions for clients
Co-ordinate welder qualifications with Team Members and external testing providers
Provide technical advice and develop solutions
Facilitate continuous development and improvement of quality assurance procedures
Plan and coordinate inspections of all activities
