Quality Assurance Manager

Quality Assurance & Control (Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics)Range Workforce Solutions is currently seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance Manager for our client based in Geelong, specialising in the Agriculture industry. Reporting directly to the CEO, this pivotal role requires a seasoned professional with expertise in poultry quality assurance within Australia and/or New Zealand.Candidate Requirements:Extensive experience in managing Quality Assurance and HACCP in the poultry industry.Degree or relevant qualification in food science or quality assurance.3-5 years' minimum experience in Quality Assurance.Profound knowledge of poultry governing bodies and legislative requirements in Australia.Familiarity with animal welfare practices and industry best practices.Willingness to travel within Victoria and interstate as needed.Proficiency in Microsoft Office for detailed reporting and data analysis.Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.Strong leadership abilities with a focus on continuous improvement.Background in feed mills is advantageous.Key Responsibilities:Lead internal and external audits (SQF, HACCP, Export) ensuring timely resolution of corrective actions.Conduct investigations into quality and food safety issues, implementing preventive and corrective actions.Manage quality assurance laboratory functions including microbiological testing and equipment calibration.Ensure compliance with SQF/HACCP and animal welfare programs.Maintain and improve the company's Quality Safety Management System.Coordinate registration and certification with overseas customers.Develop and implement quality policies and procedures.Drive quality testing and food safety initiatives across farms and grading floors.Foster a strong food safety culture in collaboration with senior leadership.Manage customer complaint programs and support process improvement.Oversee supplier food safety programs to meet regulatory requirements.Monitor budgetary performance and address deviations.Support site and farm managers in implementing food safety strategies.Develop training plans to optimize staff engagement and development.Join us in shaping the future of poultry quality assurance and safety standards in agriculture.
