Are you an experienced Quality Assurance Manager looking for a challenging role in the Defence industry? Pilatus Training Solutions Australia Pty Ltd (PilTSA) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Pilatus Aircraft Limited of Switzerland and is responsible for support and growth of the Pilatus family of aircraft in Australia. PilTSA is seeking to employ a professional, motivated, enthusiastic and experienced Quality Assurance Manager. The position will be located at our Australian Head Office in Sale, Victoria.

You will have overall responsibility for Quality Assurance and Safety activities of PilTSA and report directly to the Managing Director.
Tasks Include: Maintain the Quality Management System (QMS), Work Health, Safety Management System (WHSMS) and Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) system that supports PilTSA business management and operational functions in accordance with industry standards and regulations.Develop and maintain audit programs that supports compliance assurance of said management systems.Reporting performance of Quality and Safety management systems to PilTSA Executive and other stakeholders.Lead root cause analysis and corrective action processes to address quality, safety and risk issues in collaboration with the affected PilTSA business units and departments.Collaborate with PilTSA business units and departments to develop and implement safety and quality improvement initiatives.Monitor and report on key performance indicators for safety, quality and risk metrics.Train and mentor members of the safety and quality support team on quality standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements.Oversee client feedback and complaints, incident and hazard notifications, ensuring timely and effective resolution.To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and experience: Formal qualification in Quality Management Systems and/or Work Health and Safety Management Systems.Proven experience in management of small teams and interfacing with company senior management.Proven experience of working within a regulated safety and quality environment, preferably in the aviation or defence industry.Proven knowledge of quality and safety assurance in industry, preferably aviation.Strong understanding of quality assurance methodologies, tools, and practices.Strong understanding of quality and safety certification standards ISO9001 and ISO45001, etc.The ability to analyse workplace practices, regulatory and standards requirements to integrate these into workplace process control procedures.It is expected that you will also satisfy the following Personal Requirements and Characteristics: Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and presentation).Proven leadership and interpersonal skills.Able to multi-task and work under pressure.Able to work independently under own initiative with a strong work ethic.Strong organisational skills with ability to manage time and multiple priorities through to completion.Ability to listen to customers and business partners and understand their specific requirements.Able to work effectively within a team environment.Applicants must be able to hold an Australian Government Baseline security clearance.
Employment will be contingent on satisfactory background screening.
The employment contract is offered as a full-time role following a four-month probationary period.
