The Role: We are currently seeking an experienced hands-on QA Manager, on a full-time basis, to lead the quality team and to work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure the highest standards of food quality and safety of the company's products. We promote a positive working culture within the business and value honesty, commitment & integrity.
Duties & Responsibilities: Maintain the Food Safety and Quality Assurance System to ensure the delivery of a quality, wholesome and compliant product. Maintain required quality certification including HACCP, BRC, GMP and others as required. Lead the quality systems team and foster and encourage a culture to ensure the highest standards of quality are met and continuously improved. Oversee, audit and report on the Food Safety and Quality System and associated corrective actions. Develop strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Key Requirements: Tertiary qualifications and certification where applicable in Ausmeat, Quality and Food Safety, Internal auditing, HACCP or similar. At least five years' experience in quality systems gained in a food manufacturing environment of which at least two years has been in a senior leadership role. Prior experience with Export, Ausmeat, HACCP, SQF, BRC or QMS quality systems and leading, and meeting the requirements of quality systems for major food retailers or for export markets. Demonstrated experience in establishing a high-performance quality culture. Candidate Attributes: Strong team focus at all levels within the business, leading with high integrity and a strong work ethic. Deep understanding of the meat processing sector with career experience in operational roles such as butchering, boning and slicing, inspection and packaging of meat. Business acumen, with the ability to analyse, steer and report on KPI's and deliver outcomes. Able to easily adapt to a broad range of working environment and work hours.
