About Abergeldie Abergeldie is an Australian-owned contractor with over 30 years of industry experience in Australia and New Zealand.
We design and deliver projects in the Water, Bridges, Transport, Underground, Energy, and Remediation industry sectors.

Projects include dams, bridges, tunnels, water and wastewater treatment process facilities, rail infrastructure, mining infrastructure, electrical substations, marine works, and pipeline rehabilitation: the complex infrastructure needed to build better communities.

About the Opportunity We're on the lookout for an experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to join our Sydney team!
In this role, you'll take ownership of quality management on major infrastructure projects, ensuring everything we build meets stringent standards and client expectations.
You'll lead QA initiatives, collaborate with project teams and drive a culture of continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities include:
Developing and implementing project-specific Quality Management Plans.
Leading quality assurance activities, including audits, inspections, and compliance checks.
Preparing, reviewing, and managing Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and Corrective Action Requests (CARs).
Ensuring all quality documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with project requirements.
Providing expert guidance to project teams on QA/QC processes and standards.
Identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to enhance quality outcomes.
Maintaining compliance with ISO 9001 and other relevant quality standards.
What You'll Bring to the Team To thrive in this role, you'll have:
A degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in quality assurance within the civil construction industry.
Strong knowledge of QA/QC processes, including ITPs, NCRs, and ISO standards.
Excellent attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills.
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
A proactive approach to continuous improvement and a commitment to delivering quality outcomes.
