Through these we built trusted processes and systems to establish ourselves as a reputable insurance builder and restorations specialist Australia-wide.About the RoleAs a Quality Assurance Desktop Estimator at our Perth office, you will operate on a national level, focusing on the assessment and validation of reports and scopes of work provided by internal teams and external clients. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure accuracy in quotes, repair methodologies, and estimates, all while adhering to established KPIs. This role also involves performing validations of scopes, estimates, and variations upon client request. A commitment to continuous improvement will require you to provide constructive feedback to state managers regarding estimation processes and scope enhancements.Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:Create accurate Desktop Estimates based on client-provided scopes.Monitor and assess the quality of internal assessment reports and scopes, offering detailed feedback during our peer review process.Review and process validated scope costs from clients and Internal assessors.Collaborate with the Training & Quality team to enhance estimation and scoping processes.Work alongside AJ Grant Building Supply Chain to stay updated on market changes, including trade rates and material costs.Provide technical repair advice on claims and repair processes to stakeholders.Build and maintain relationships with key subcontractors, including surveyors, engineers, and local authorities to support the technical aspects of quoting.Collaborate with the claims team to align scopes of work and estimates effectively.Source competitive quotes and prices from suppliers and contractors while adhering to budget constraints.Work with team members, including field assessors, to gather insights that improve scope accuracy and quote precision.Establish a quality control system to verify the accuracy of reports, scopes, quotes, and estimates prior to submission.Maintain administrative tasks and communication in line with business KPIs.Continuously assess and enhance the efficiency of the estimation process and claims conversion.Experience, Qualifications and Personal AttributesStrong focus on customer service.Exceptional business and time management skills.Highly motivated with a proven track record of achieving results.Capable of solving problems related to residential buildings.Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.Trade or tertiary qualification in construction is preferred.Experience in the insurance industry is advantageous.Experience in estimating and preparing scopes of work is essential.What We Can Offer YouWe, at AJ Grant Building, have built a culture that looks after people, their families and their futures.
