Requirements What key responsibilities does this role have @ Koala?
Working with our internal development teams and supply partners, provide guidance for new (and existing) products across different markets in respect to quality and compliance standards, test methods and other evaluation criteria.
Plan and manage testing schedules and costs, including booking tests and assessments with third-party providers and occasionally conducting in-house quality tests using various testing equipment.
Follow up on results and communicate effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Partner with designers and engineers to ensure successful and on-time product launches, and work closely with the customer experience team to gather feedback for quality improvements from customer returns and warranty claims.
Be part of the team in continually helping to improve on our quality and compliance frameworks for existing and new markets, including test standards, methods and evaluation criteria.
Coordinate with third-party providers to apply for and renew product certifications in different markets based on demand and regulatory requirements.
Assist relevant stakeholders in conducting injury, quality, and compliance investigations by providing testing evidence and detailed analysis if required.
Ideal background… 5+ years of experience in a compliance or quality role, preferably with demonstrable experience in furniture materials or products, or experience in FMCG, general merchandise, or similar.
Understanding of furniture quality standards in different markets, including familiarity with ASTM, EN, ISO, and AS/NZS standards.
Proven experience in booking and managing tests and assessments with third-party providers.
Skilled in analysing customer feedback and translating insights into actionable improvements for future products.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as detailed product specification sheets.
Experience in report writing and conducting data analysis.
Excellent communication skills with a collaborative approach to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
