We are seeking strong software testing fundamentals and prior programming or automation experience. This role encompasses all phases of development, from inception to live release. The successful candidate will write new automated tests and create/maintain the infrastructure needed for testing automation. Early responsibilities include developing an automated test plan in cooperation with business and technical stakeholders. As development progresses, the testing automation infrastructure will evolve with the solution. Once mature, the automation process should deliver reports and dashboards that allow stakeholders to manage quality issues effectively.
Key Skills: Create, modify, execute, and analyze software tests at every level: Unit, Integration, System, UAT, and SIT, Proven experience as an SDET in an Agile/Scrum team, Ability to create clear test documentation (test plans, test cases) from user stories and close collaboration with multiple stakeholders, Strong experience in writing test code in Java and related technology/frameworks, Ability to write production-quality test code at multiple levels of the test pyramid, Coding and scripting experience to support test framework, automation, and tool development, Familiarity with Redhat Linux, Deep familiarity with multiple testing frameworks (e.g., Cucumber, Selenium, Tosca, JMeter, LoadRunner) and the ability to switch between them quickly, Experience with multiple forms of testing activity (Feature, Regression, System, Integration, Performance, and Security) and the ability to automate tests for all, Familiarity with visualization tools (e.g., AppDynamics, Kibana) and the capability to configure them for real-time test results display, Familiarity with at least one major cloud service (GCP preferred, AWS acceptable), Ability to collaborate with peers and work cross-functionally with testing personnel in other software teams, developers, architects, and product managers, Strong knowledge of agile delivery processes and ability to work with teams using waterfall delivery processes, Ability to identify high customer impact issues and drive them to resolution, collaborating across teams as needed, Excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience presenting data to cross-functional teams and/or management. Technology Stack Requirements: Strong skills in Selenium-based User Interface Testing, Experience with API Testing using frameworks like RestAssured, Cucumber/Gherkin experience to drive BDD-based software development, Java SpringBoot microservices development and testing, Optional: Experience with Tosca would be favorably considered.
