The role: Crown Melbourne is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented QA and Procurement Coordinator to join our Procurement team.
Reporting to the Head of Procurement, this role is essential in ensuring that our restaurants and production kitchens receive the highest quality food items, delivered in full and on time (DIFOT).
The successful candidate will manage the coordination of food supplies, address supply shortages, out-of-stock items, and quality issues, and ensure that all operations run smoothly.

Some of the key responsibilities: Coordinate and ensure the timely delivery of food items, rectifying any supply shortages and quality issues.
Source and organise daily substitute products to meet Just-In-Time (JIT) business requirements.
Manage quality control, including inspecting inbound perishable goods and ensuring they meet Crown specifications.
Report on supplier performance, including non-deliveries and quality issues.
Assist with pricing changes, data entry, and maintenance in the Crown ERP system (PeopleSoft).
Ensure compliance with HACCP procedures, food recalls, and other health and safety standards.
Foster strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
About You: Experience in hospitality and food-based purchasing environment, preferably with fresh, perishable goods.
Ability to start work at 7am Monday to Friday.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Detail-oriented with excellent communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure.
