Part time 0.8FTE per week, fixed term role until February 2026 Parkville location, with multiple public transport options available $110,479 - $111,051 (pro-rata for part time) + salary packaging + super + 5 weeks annual leave The Royal Women's Hospital is one of Australia's oldest and most distinguished tertiary hospitals dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of women and newborns, offering specialised services within maternity, neonatal and women's health.

About the department
The Women's Quality and Safety Unit provides an expert advisory service to the staff and services of the Women's on quality improvement, risk management patient experience and patient safety.
It is responsible for the provision of designated data and information to service areas and relevant external agencies and for the facilitation of quality improvement activities.

About the role
As a Quality and Safety Partner you will promote and facilitate a focus on quality, risk management and improvement within the clinical service areas based on the agreed organisational frameworks and tools.
You will support the provision of patient-focused risk and improvement services, provide advice to clinical services, support the creation of exceptional experiences across the organisation, develop and review effective incident reporting for all areas and participate in accreditation-related activities to achieve successful accreditation of the Women's.

A regular day will see you:
Assisting / supporting / advising Clinical Directors and Managers with initiatives and activities relating to quality, risk and patient safety Providing support for implementation and evaluation of quality, risk and improvement activities within the clinical arena Assisting staff with the development of the risk and quality improvement reports and in the development of the skills of Managers in quality, risk management and continuous improvement About you
To be successful in this role you'll bring with you:
Appropriate tertiary qualification in a health-related area and/or experience in the health sector Understanding of clinical governance and a systems approach to quality, patient safety, continuous improvement and risk management Ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships Ability to work well in teams and individually At the Women's you will enjoy a culture that is collaborative, supportive and passionate about learning.
