Apply now Job no: 501120 Work type: Permanent Location: Mackay Categories: Clinical Nursing/Midwifery, All other Position: Quality & Safety AssociateDuration: Permanent Full-TimeSalary: Competitive package offered commensurate experienceApplications are sought for a Quality & Safety Associate at the Mater Private Hospital Mackay.About the roleThe Quality & Safety Associate ("QSA") is responsible for activities as delegated relating to Quality and Clinical Safety Management, and accreditation, across the hospital/service, which are essential to the licensing, service level agreements and contracts.What you'll be doingProvide support to Hospital/Service Quality and Safety Manager and clinical department managers to implement quality and risk management systems and improve quality and safety outcomes;Provide support to Hospital/Service Quality and Safety Manager and department managers in incident and complaint investigation and coordinate actions to prevent recurrence;Support/ facilitate the implementation of innovation and systems improvement that eliminate/reduce patient harm;Work collaboratively with other clinicians to facilitate process improvement strategies that support patient safety and the achievement of quality and safety goals;Collect and analyse patient safety and clinical outcome data to evidence the effectiveness of the quality and safety system;Support the Hospital/Service Quality and Safety Manager to improve the effectiveness of the quality system and monitor compliance with policies, the implementation of corrective and preventive actions and survey recommendations;Work in collaboration with the Hospital/Service Quality and Safety Manager and Hospital Leadership Team to coordinate the implement recommendations arising from root cause analysis or other system or case review;Provide education / training related to quality and safety, incident investigation and management and the use of Incident reporting tools as required;Other informationThis full-time role will be performed Monday to Friday with an expectation that hours are across 4 to 5 days, however, may vary depending on operational need.
