About the Job About the role Join our dynamic PTA Project Delivery (PPD) Division at the Public Transport Authority (PTA) and contribute to the successful delivery of PTA's major transport infrastructure projects.
The Quality Advisor is responsible for coordinating the quality management and assurance program within the PPD division, ensuring alignment with AS/NZS ISO 9001 standards.
In this role, the Quality Advisor oversees the internal audit program, addressing key quality, risk, and rail safety requirements, while conducting audits on suppliers and internal processes.
They prepare detailed reports, track audit findings, and ensure the implementation of best practices in occupational safety, health, and rail safety within infrastructure projects.
Additionally, the Quality Advisor provides performance reports to Project Managers, analysing quality deficiencies and contributing to continuous improvement of PPD's management systems.
The role also supports PPD's risk management program by assisting in the development of work schedules for risk monitoring and review.
The Quality Advisor participates in risk assessment workshops, offers advice on quality requirements, and facilitates the review of risk and treatment plans.
With a focus on both corporate system development and business improvement initiatives, the Quality Advisor plays a key role in maintaining compliance reporting and supporting the Division's operational strategies and procedures.
Their expertise is essential in ensuring that quality management, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement remain at the forefront of PPD operations.
About You!
To excel in this role, you should possess: A tertiary qualification in a relevant field or extensive relevant experience, with a certified lead auditor qualification and proven experience auditing quality and safety management systems.
Strong practical knowledge and experience in applying quality assurance and risk management principles, as well as quality management processes.
Well-developed communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build rapport and develop team skills with internal stakeholders.
Demonstrated expertise in statistical data analysis, reporting, and providing improvement recommendations to management, alongside the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

There is currently one full time, fixed term appointment for five years with the possibility of extensions and/or permanency available for immediate start.
