Job Description - Quality Advisor (261044)Quality Advisor - 261044We're changing the way Australia generates its energy, are you ready for a change?The Project:UGL has been appointed Principal Contractor for TransGrid's Maragle Switching Station and Transmission Line Project based in Maragle in New South Wales, approx.
500km southwest of Sydney, as part of the Snowy Mountain 2.0 Project.
The work involves:Design and construction of Maragle 330kV Switching Station and supporting works.Design and construction of two 330kV transmission lines, cut into Line 64, the installation of OPGW on a section of Line 64, and supporting works.

We are currently looking for an experienced

Quality Advisor

to join the team and this role will be based on site on a 19:9 Roster.What will a day look like in this roleAssure quality products and processes by establishing and maintaining a project quality management system based on ISO9001:2015 Quality Management Systems and UGL's management system.Drive the effective application of the system, including processes for improvement of the system and the assurance of conformity to customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.Champion a quality culture; promoting an informed, participatory workplace that continues to develop construction and training methods to achieve quality levels that satisfy our client's needs and expectations.Ensure final product complies with all standards and specifications developed, including the final approval of the consis.Work with Operation to ensure all Quality (workmanship and standards compliance) requirements associated with the scope of work are fully understood and carried out.Communication of changed process documentation to stakeholders and to ensure planned introduction across all location.Responsible for the implementation and delivery of the quality improvement strategy in line with agreed goals and objectives.About YouExtensive years construction quality and/or completions experience.Awareness of relevant Australian and International standards, both technical and those related to management systems.ISO 9001:2015 Internal/Lead Auditor.Proven inspector of final product and/or service and previous experience in quality function in renewable/utility EPCM projects is advantageous.Demonstrated ability to work independently to organise and prioritise demands, handle multiple complex tasks and simultaneously, set and meet deadlines and follow-through within a fast-paced environment with multiple and competing demands.Strong communication skills (oral & written) including strong negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally.Proven commitment to promoting safety, quality, and environment compliance on site.What we offerDiverse opportunities to grow, back yourself and achieve.The chance to join a 6,000+ strong organisation owned by the CIMIC Group, one of the world's leading international contractors.Pathways for you to succeed and the space for you to carve your own journey.Competitive group remuneration and benefits including: health and wellbeing program with company-funded salary continuance insurance.Flexible work arrangements - have a chat to us around how this can work for you.A culture that values diversity and innovation, evolving with market changes and new technologies.
