The West Gate Tunnel is a partnership between the Victorian Government and Transurban. The Joint Venture was chosen as the head contractor for construction, with works having commenced in 2018 and scheduled for completion in 2025. About the Project The West Gate Tunnel Project is a city-shaping project that will deliver a vital alternative to the West Gate Bridge, provide quicker and safer journeys, and remove thousands of trucks off residential streets. The Project includes: Approximately 7km of double lane tunnels, taking over 9000 trucks over local streets in Melbourne's west. Widening the West Gate Freeway from 8 to 12 lanes, with the construction of over 9km of noise walls. The construction of elevated roadway and ramps along Footscray Road, providing new connections into CityLink, Dynon Road, Footscray Road and the port. Over 9 ha of landscaping opportunities across the Project's footprint. We aim to maximise the potential of all our people. About the Role We are looking for two Quality Advisors to join the Technical and Completions team in critical roles to drive quality requirements through to completion of the Project. The two roles are: Quality Advisor – West Civil / Surface: Based in West Zone Site Office in Laverton Quality Advisor – Tunnels: Based in Tunnel Zone Site Office in Yarraville Being involved in a Project of this incredible scale and complexity through to completion of the relevant works within your area is an opportunity unlike most others across the industry. The primary purpose of this role is to contribute to and champion the Quality Objectives of the project, through assessing, reporting on and managing quality on The West Gate Tunnel Project. As the Quality Advisor some of the key responsibilities of this role include: Responsible for day-to-day management of quality deliverables for your assigned scope of work including promoting the completion and turnover of Worklots, Non-Conformance Report closure and Punch List management. Review construction records and identification of any potential risks or non-conformances Provide support and guidance to the Project Manager and delivery team ensuring the Quality Management System is implemented. Provide support and guidance to the delivery team in relation to Completions Management System Requirement. Support the Zone Quality and Completions Manager and contribute to the wider Quality and Completions Team. Attend site to complete process control inspections. Project supplier and construction works auditing support. About You Ideally 3-5 years' experience in an identical or similar role. Qualifications or experience in a previous Quality Role or equivalent. Qualifications or experience in a previous Completions Role or equivalent. Appropriate tertiary qualifications or training in a Quality, Completions or related discipline highly regarded. Experience in the construction industry highly regarded. Engineering or Trade Qualification highly regarded. Strong personal organisational skills. Excellent communication and negotiation skills Experience in the development of Inspection & Test Plans, Work Instructions and quality checklists Ability to interpret specifications, contract requirements and design drawings.
