Quantum is seeking an organised and proactive Qualitative Fieldwork Manager to oversee the qualitative recruitment and fieldwork across two market research consultancy firms, Quantum Market Research and Hall & Partners Australia.
This role is crucial in ensuring the successful delivery of qualitative research projects while effectively managing timelines, external recruiters, internal recruitment of respondents, moderator schedules, risks, and team dynamics.
This role is part of a shared service across the two agencies, reporting into the Operations Manager.
Key Responsibilities: Research Requirements Capture: Ask relevant questions during project briefings to ensure a comprehensive understanding of research requirements.
Identify and flag potential risks early in the process, with a solution-focused mindset.Project Management: Oversee all phases of qualitative fieldwork, from briefing and recruitment to execution and incentive fulfilment.
Manage timelines effectively, coordinating with the broader team as necessary.Ownership of Qualitative Aspects: Take responsibility for the qualitative components of projects, addressing simple and complex queries from recruiters, and filtering issues for escalation to research consultants.Recruitment Coordination: Coordinate participant recruitment and fieldwork logistics, including diary management for consultants and respondents, and setup on qualitative platforms.
For internal recruitment, handle the recruitment of respondents from lists provided by clients.Incentive Management: Ensure timely payment of incentives to respondents.Risk Management: Consider ISO 20252:2019 and privacy regulations in all tasks, proactively identifying risks and suggesting mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle.Process Improvement: Apply technical skills to enhance the efficiency of managing and scheduling qualitative projects.
Focus on continuous improvement in creating efficiencies in processes and creating cost savings with suppliers.Communication: Maintain a calm and supportive demeanour, proactively updating the team on project progress and identifying red flags.
Suggest risk mitigation strategies and solutions.Team Support: Manage your own time and responsibilities effectively while assisting junior team members in their time management.
Coach and develop their skills as needed.Self-Development: Take an active role in personal and professional development, in alignment with your manager's guidance.Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Market Research, Social Sciences, Psychology, or a related field.A minimum of 2 years of experience in qualitative coordination, project management, or in a related role with transferable skills.A calm demeanor and ability to find solutions while managing busy schedules.Proven ability to handle multiple projects at once, demonstrating strong organisation skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a service-oriented mindset.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.Willingness to learn, problem-solve, and adapt to new challenges.Familiarity with Outlook, Excel and qualitative analysis platforms is advantageous.Please note: All applicants must have the right to work in Australia.
