Qualified Greenkeeper / Apprentice Greenkeeper

Waterford Valley Golf Course is an 18 hole championship golf course located 30 mins from the Melbourne CBD.
We currently have a great career opportunity vacant for a Qualified Greenkeeper and an Apprentice Greenkeeper in Sportsturf Management to join our ground staff team in Knoxfield.
Waterford Valley is a par 72, (6545 m) unique championship 18 hole golf course situated in Knoxfield.
It has been designed with flexibility in its layout and provides a wide range of golfing challenges.
The course is made up of Santa ana couch Tees and Fairways, G2 Bentgrass greens, 63 bunkers and 11 lakes and wetlands.
We're seeking individuals who are:

Passionate about turf management and the game of golf.

Enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and demonstrate a strong work ethic.
Physically capable of performing manual tasks and enjoy working in the outdoors.
Reliable, with a driver's licence and access to transport.
Responsibilities of the successful applicant will include: ·

General golf course set-up and upkeep of the golf course
Operation of machinery and equipment
Mowing duties which will include: - Greens, Tees, Fairways and Roughs
Hand-watering greens
Raking bunkers and bunker maintenance
Assist with fertiliser and chemical applications
Irrigation maintenance and repair

The position is Full time, 38 hours per week with a rotating weekend roster.
