Grandma's at Townsville QLD looking for a qualified Cook.
Most of our products are cooked from scratch on site daily and we take pride in using the best quality ingredients sourced locally.
Responsibilities include: Regulating temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipments Inspect food preparation and serving areas to ensure safe and sanitary food handling practices Season and cook food according to recipes Weigh, measure and mix ingredients according to recipes or personal judgment, using various kitchen utensils Portion, arrange, garnish and serve food to wait staffs Estimate expected food consumption and monitor inventory Coordinate and supervise work of kitchen staff Qualifications: Certificate III in Commercial Cookery is preferred Minimum 12 months' work experience in Australia Possess a sound knowledge of food safety and safe work practices Competent and experienced in all aspects of cooking Reliable, punctual and hardworking Maintain high quality standards Possess strong time management and problem solving skills Team player and high attention to detail Speak and read good English We offer a competitive salary package, ongoing training and development and great team environment.
