Job DescriptionOaks Gladstone Grand Hotel are currently looking for a casual Chef to join our team at our Oaks and Vine Restaurant and Coffee Club Gladstone restaurant. Key Responsibilities Include:Prepare and cook high quality foodSupervise and train kitchen staffAssisting in creating menu items, recipes and developing dishesHelping to create good communication between FOH and BOHKeep the kitchen organized and cleanQualificationsTo be successful in this role you will need to:Hold relevant Certificate III cookery qualifications and previous experience in a similar role.Have knowledge and understanding of HACCP and OH&SBe flexible to work a range of different shifts, including weekends.Be able to work under pressure within a dynamic team environment.Be able to coach and motivate less experienced members of the kitchen team.Be self-motivated and able to work without supervision.Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
