Business Development Manager - Perth, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane About Qlub Qlub is a global fintech startup that is revolutionizing dine-in payments within the F&B industry. Qlub enables customers to instantly pay their restaurant bills by scanning a QR code via their phone, without requiring an app or any registration. This speeds up table turnover, increases tips for waiters, and enhances customer loyalty and experience. Additionally, customers can split the bill with friends and pay with Apple Pay, Credit Card, or in instalments.

Role overview Reporting to the State sales manager, this role entails the task of acquiring new restaurants onto our smart payments system through a consultative sales approach. As a Business Development Manager, you will serve as one of the initial points of contact for restaurants engaging with Qlub. Given our deep understanding of local markets, Qlub relies on this team to furnish feedback to our Marketing and Product teams. Consequently, those excelling in this position will actively participate in reciprocal, company-wide strategies aimed at business expansion. Qlub's Sales team is committed to enhancing restaurants' revenue potential through best-in-class payment systems and technology. We seek sales professionals who harbor a genuine passion for the restaurant industry and take pride in the products they represent. This role operates in a dynamic, client-facing sales capacity, demanding profound industry expertise, proven sales prowess with a particular knack for sealing deals, and an extensive network of industry connections.
Who we're looking for At least 1-3 years experience with hands-on experience in a sales position with proven ability to achieve your quarterly goals. Ambitious, persistent, and focused on achieving results. Motivated and capable of performing effectively under pressure, meeting ambitious goals and deadlines. Proficient in presenting innovative perspectives to customers, challenging and reframing their business outlook. Vigilantly monitors economic and industry trends, recognizing their impact on the restaurant sector and identifying new business prospects. Well-versed in the restaurant industry, adept at addressing customer concerns from various angles. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with strong presentation abilities. Demonstrates outstanding capability in driving business value throughout sales interactions. Highly analytical, able to evaluate business opportunities and understand potential buyers. Interest in leveraging data for decision-making and persuasive arguments. Skilled in crafting compelling strategies that yield tangible outcomes. Preference for candidates with restaurant management or sales experience. Meticulous attention to detail in administrative tasks, estimating 20-35% of workload. Proficient in PC applications and technologically savvy. Quick to grasp complex concepts independently. Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Bonus Previous experience in Hospitality tech.
