Queensland Complete Contracting Services (QCCS) is a contracting company working throughout Central Queensland and the Bowen Basin.
Due to continued and sustained growth, we are seeking a capable Construction Supervisor for ongoing work throughout the Bowen Basin region.
Your background will ideally be in concrete or construction, and you are currently supervising projects.
You will have a hands-on role with sourcing and managing trades and allied professionals, scheduling works, and being involved in the construction process.
Responsibilities:
In conjunction with the Project Manager, determine techniques and methods to be used on the project.
Co-ordinate and manage all resources required for the project.
Supervise works to ensure they are completed in accordance with the project's contract documentation.
Manage the project scope and ensure requests from client site representatives are documented with Site Instructions.
Manage the client relationships 'on the ground'.
Manage RFIs.
Supervise site personnel and facilitate workplace cohesion at all times.
Ensure the site is kept clean and organized at all times.
Maintain accurate site diaries and provide to the Project Manager in a timely manner.
Provide site safety leadership in conjunction with the Project Manager.
Achieve project safety targets and objectives.
Required:
Previous experience in a trade Supervisor role.
Construction trade qualifications; carpentry etc., along with the ability to handle site construction earthworks, drainage, structural concrete, concrete remediation, etc.
Experience in the reading of plans and specifications.
Exposure to civil practices, construction practice, project management, and project mobilisation/demobilisation site activity.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong experience delivering high-quality projects.
Advanced level knowledge and understanding of the application of workplace health and safety regulations and practices as applicable to civil construction.
Good time management and organisational skills.
Ability to deliver a consistently professional customer service to all stakeholders.
Possession of, or preparedness to get, S 1,2,3.
Current Coal Board Medical and Standard 11 would be an advantage.
This is a DIDO position, with preference given to candidates who reside in and around the Mackay, Central Qld area.
FIFO is not available.
