Join QGAir's dynamic rotary wing team in Archerfield and make a real difference to the lives of those in need. We are seeking an experienced Training and Checking Aircrew Officer looking for their next challenge to support our Rotary Wing operations. Our team of highly trained personnel provides aeromedical retrievals, search and rescue and law enforcement support. You will facilitate and conduct high quality training and checking to support QPS aviation operations.
Permanent position based in Archerfield.

What we're looking for: Mandatory requirements Current CASA Class 1 or 2 Medical. Have held a Bronze Medallion Life Saving Qualification. Current Senior First Aid certificate. Certificate IV in Aviation Aircrew Officer. 1500 hours rotary wing aeronautical experience as an Aircrew Officer. Qualification - Competence in Helicopter winching and rappelling operations. CASA approval as an Aircrew Training Officer within six months of appointment. Current certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment within six months of appointment. CASA approval as a Rotary Wing Night Vision Goggle Aircrew Member Instructor within six months of appointment. Possession of a C class licence. Highly Desirable Previous Rotary Wing Instructor Experience AW 139/B412. Rotary Wing Night Vision Goggle Aircrew Member Instructor experience. 250 hours rotary wing aeronautical experience as an instructor or Training and Checking. Previous Training and Management experience. Instructor Sling Operations. FLIR Instructor experience. Understanding of computer-based recency/currency programs, Air Maestro/AIMS/PEX. Prior to appointment, the successful applicant will be required to complete an initial psychological assessment to determine their suitability to perform the inherent occupational requirements of the role.
A probation period of 6-months applies to this position.
