Senior Staff Specialist or Staff Specialist, General Medicine Queensland Health (Organisation site: )

Temporary part-time opportunity to provide clinical services and medical leadership in the discipline of General Medicine. The General Medicine department also encompasses Acute Medicine, Perioperative Medicine, Consultation Medicine and teaching of junior staff at the RBWH, including medical emergency response and team-based approaches to after-hours care for Patients of Concern.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
Clinical duties may include supervision of a General Medical Admitting Team, supervision of the Department's Acute Medical Assessment Unit (Early Patient Intervention Centre – EPICentre) or Perioperative and Consultation services across the hospital. A minimum of 1 hour per week to be devoted to formal medical education of either junior medical staff (registrar or intern level) or medical students. To assist the Director of IMAC to organise clinical services including management of personnel and financial resources. Perform all duties efficiently and in a professional manner. Health Equity
