An exciting opportunity is now available for an experienced Project Manager to join the team and contribute to exciting road infrastructure projects.
Reporting to the Construction Manager, you will support the reviewing and updating RoadTek Project Delivery, Contract Management, Temporary Traffic Management, Lean Construction, and Quality Assurance systems.
This is a permanent, full-time position and can be performed from any of our RoadTek office locations (Cairns, Townsville, Mackay, Rockhampton, Bundaberg, Toowoomba, Warwick, Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast, or Brisbane CBD).
RoadTek is a commercial business within the Department of Transport and Main Roads. We provide transport infrastructure solutions for projects across Queensland. Responsibilities Review the current H21 Project Management Methodology, processes, and templates across all product lines and projects. Identify what is effective and what needs improvement and implement business enhancements in consultation with key stakeholders. Develop a Program Management process and supporting documentation to facilitate the delivery of statewide projects, product lines, and specialist initiatives. Utilize risk management processes to identify, analyze, and address potential project challenges while maintaining effective consultation and relationships with internal stakeholders, including Project Managers and Senior Project Managers. Maintain regular communication with internal and external stakeholders and provide technical advice and interpretation on standard specifications and construction processes. Review in-house Contract Management, Project Management, Lean Construction, and Temporary Traffic Management systems and amend the content to meet current requirements. Adhere to the Queensland Public Service legislative framework, Code of Conduct, and Workplace Health & Safety Policy, modeling ethical behavior and standards consistently. Mandatory Qualifications and Conditions Due to this role having access to sensitive data, a criminal history check will be undertaken prior to appointment to the role. Applicants must possess a current, valid Queensland "C" class driver's licence or equivalent. You may be required to travel to other locations within Queensland to undertake activities for varying periods of time. You will be entitled to expenses and allowances for such travel. Desirable Requirements A Diploma in Project Management and accredited Frontline Management qualification. Tertiary Qualifications in Engineering, Built Environment, Construction, and/or related fields. Traffic Management Design and Implementation experience.
