Deliver Occupational Therapy services, working as a member of the multidisciplinary Child Development Service, delivering services to the patients of West Moreton Health Service. Occupational Therapy Clinical Services within the West Moreton Health Service include the provision of outpatient, inpatient and sub-acute clinical services.
Deliver competent paediatric Occupational Therapy clinical services with ability to work within multidisciplinary teams where relevant and deliver services in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards. Undertake routine Occupational Therapy tasks within well-established clinical protocols with a decreasing need for supervision and as experience builds, apply increasingly independent clinical judgement to more complex clinical decision making under the clinical practice supervision or professional guidance of a more senior clinician.
About you Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
Clinical Expertise: Competent skills in the area of paediatric Occupational Therapy service delivery. Experience working with older children (6yrs – 18yrs) would be an advantage. Team Focus: Assists and understands the needs of other team members and communicates with all team members appropriately. Quality Improvement: Ability to participate in the initiation, development and implementation quality and service improvement activities. Developing Self and Others: Commitment to developing skills through professional development and sharing information with others. Organisational Skills: Ability to effectively prioritise and manage a demanding clinical caseload and non-clinical tasks. Appointment to this position requires proof of a tertiary degree (or equivalent) qualification in Occupational Therapy and full registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as an Occupational Therapist. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager, prior to the commencement of clinical duties.
