Seeking the best suited applicant to join our hard working team. This role is primarily to oversee the technical and quality aspects of the automated immunoassay area within the Core Chemistry unit, in conjunction with the Supervising Scientist. It is expected that the incumbent will have significant experience in immunoassay principles and practice.
Apply advanced technical knowledge combined with integrated evidence-based practice skills and technical leadership in the instrumental, technical, developmental, and clinical interpretive aspects of the general Chemistry testing within the RBWH and RCH campuses.

Expert level of technical knowledge, skills and experience in the performance of immunoassay investigations. Theoretical knowledge and understanding of immunoassay principles and procedures. High-level communication skills and ability to work in a team environment and maintain professional relationships in the workplace. Develop technical competence in staff and students. Understanding of laboratory quality systems and the requirements of NATA accreditation and ISO certification. Awareness of the human resource management policies applicable to contemporary workplaces. Qualifications, registrations and other requirements Minimum qualification for Health Practitioner Level 5 (HP5) Technician is an Associate Diploma (or equivalent) relevant to the position and demonstrated extensive and associated operational experience .
