Clinical Nurse Consultant (Palliative Care Community) Provide expert palliative care, lead quality improvements, and collaborate with stakeholders across Gold Coast Health.
An opportunity has become available for several Clinical Nurse Consultants (Palliative Care Community) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12,000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
Provide client-focused expert consultancy care within a nursing mode. Demonstrate autonomy, accountability, and competence in advanced nursing interventions. Provide compassionate care and communication with patients and families. Lead quality improvement activities to improve clinical practice and support a learning culture. About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent. Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia. Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Hepatitis B. Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required. Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed. Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost). About Us
The Specialist Palliative Care Community Service delivers comprehensive and compassionate world-class care to address specialist palliative care needs for consumers across Gold Coast Health as well as leading a number of statewide services and projects.
A range of services are provided across community, inpatient, outpatient, aged care, consultancy, and telehealth settings. The Specialist Palliative Care Community Service collaborates with many other stakeholders to deliver comprehensive holistic care to our patients and utilises and encourages innovation, quality improvement, and research to obtain optimal patient goals of care.
