Would you like to join the Metro North Health team and contribute towards achieving health equity for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people?

Provide expert clinical knowledge and clinical care for perinatal wellbeing of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander women and families and support the general function of the unit through role modelling.

Under s25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991, there is a genuine occupational requirement for the incumbent to be Indigenous to the Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Community.

About the role
Provide expert clinical knowledge and clinical care for perinatal wellbeing of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander women and families and support the general function of the unit through role modelling and application of the principles of contemporary evidence-based consumer/patient focused care, education, leadership and portfolio management.
This role will work in partnership with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander women and families experiencing, or at risk of experiencing, mild to moderate emotional and mental health concerns during the perinatal period.

Integrate organisational policies and guidelines with professional standards by maintaining current knowledge and participating in relevant policy review.
