Job Summary: The QHSE Manager leads a small team to oversee the implementation and ongoing improvement of the QHSE framework within TIC, to enable a zero-harm workplace to people and the environment.
This role works alongside leaders across the business to implement and maintain the QHSE framework, as well as identify areas of improvement and external practices of benefit to TIC. The QHSE Manager also acts as a focal point to enable statutory compliance. These goals are achieved through the provision of corporate and operational support for QHSE functions including training, advice, guidance and leadership support.
Responsibilities: Provide strategic direction and leadership on QHSE-related matters to Top Management and the QHSE team. Develop, implement and continuously improve QHSE policies, strategies, and initiatives that meet regulatory requirements and industry best practices. Develop, implement and continuously improve QHSE-related tools, forms and IT-based systems to achieve broad and efficient compliance. Ensure compliance with relevant QHSE regulations and standards and ensure accurate and timely reports for internal and external stakeholders. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, customers, contractors, and partners, to drive continuous improvement in QHSE performance. Ensure appropriate Identification, assessment, and management and mitigation of high potential risks related to QHSE. Ensure the timely and appropriate response to incidents by the staff present, including timely and appropriate reporting as required by law and by company policy. Ensure appropriate investigation and analysis of high potential incidents, accidents, and near misses, and develop strategies to prevent recurrence. Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor QHSE performance across the company to drive a culture of continuous improvement. Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements in QHSE practices and integrate innovative solutions into company operations. Skills & Experience Required: Proven history in a senior QHSE leadership role within the energy, infrastructure, manufacturing or construction sectors In-depth understanding of health, safety, environment and quality regulation, codes of practice and standards relevant to the TIC-A scope of work Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and promote programs of work within the business Degree qualified in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Sciences or a related field (or equivalent) Formal qualifications in auditing quality, health, safety and /or environmental systems required, with lead auditor qualifications preferrable Current Driver's licence required Permanent work rights within Australia Your application will include the following questions: Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?
