As one of the largest performance door set manufacturers and architectural hardware suppliers in the UK, we provide bespoke Door Suites made onsite in our factory located in North Wales.
We're currently seeking a focused and detail-oriented QHSE Manager, to promote and support a positive culture of Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE) and support company objectives by engaging with our operational teams and supporting and educating them on the importance and delivery of QHSE and DoorSuite standards.
You'll improve performance through the monitoring and inspections of QHSE management systems and procedures at site level, including ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001.
The postholder will also successfully drive a positive safety and quality culture as well as ensuring the timely delivery of associated QHSE objectives, contract mobilisation support, inspection, audits and training.
Responsibilities Facilitate the maintenance and management of environmental health, quality, safety and well-being through systems, audit/ inspection and the establishment of high standards. Support the Implementation of QHSE policy changes and maintain an Integrated Management System audit programme for Health & Safety, environmental and Quality standards. Work proactively with the board, managers, client and other key employees to establish and maintain a programme of continuous improvement in the management of health, safety and wellbeing within their areas of responsibility. Advise on matters relating to the QHSE at work including the obligations and responsibilities of directors, managers and employees and provide comprehensive and practical advice to managers on best practice acting as support and point of contact for the business. Undertake quality, environmental health and safety planning, including the setting of goals, agreeing priorities, budget, and establishing adequate systems for performance management. Assist in the delivery of comprehensive operational technical training to promote, develop and sustain a positive culture of awareness throughout business operations. Support the management team in investigations of occurrences, hazards etc.
and ensure corrective and preventative actions are implemented and evidenced. Management of client relationships and expectations relevant to the job role. Ensure compliance of all company documentation, audits and administration procedures are carried out to company standards. Ensure legislative compliance, ensuring that all HSE aspects of the business are conducted in accordance with all relevant statutory requirements and Codes of Practice. Experience Essential NEBOSH NGC Qualified or equivalent. Member of IOSH – Min Tech. Level 3 trainer (Health & Safety Training). Trained ISO Internal Auditor. Evidence of current CPD over a 6-month period. A minimum of 5 years senior management experience. A minimum of 3 years' experience as a health and safety advisor or equivalent. Robust knowledge of health, safety, environment and quality standards and implementation. Demonstrable achievement of continuous improvement in the workplace. Sound IT and PC skills including Microsoft office packages SharePoint and Teams. Proven record in a Health, Safety and Environmental role. Desirable NEBOSH Diploma / NVQ L5 or Equivalent. IOSH/IEMA Environmental certificate. Other Membership of Health and Safety networking professional forums / organisations i.e.
IIRSM / IEMA / CQI. Trained ISO Internal Lead Auditor. Level 4 Training and Education. Background in manufacturing or other similar industry group.
