You will deliver quality services and outcomes to a diverse range of departmental customers through leading and managing a customer service team under limited direction.The Skills You Will Need Include Being Able To:Actively work to understand customers and stakeholders, encouraging a strong customer-focus and building understanding of customer perspectives.Readily share your knowledge and experience, coach and mentor others.Demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication, modelling open communication by actively and attentively listening to others.Model ethical and culturally sensitive behaviour and consistently apply those ethical standards.Model professional, ethical and culturally sensitive behaviour and consistently apply those standards of behaviour to yourself and others.What You Will Be Doing:Plan and coordinate a wide range of government services supported by Smart Service Queensland to lead and support dynamic QGAP Services.Provide team leadership by modelling and fostering professionalism, accountability and ethical behaviour.Acquire, maintain and apply knowledge of relevant government processes and legislation.Apply human resource management principles.Exercise the powers of a Justice of the Peace or have the capability of completing a Justice of the Peace course.Establish and maintain cooperative working arrangements with the team, department, tenants, and government/non-government service providers.Represent the department in a range of departmental, government and community forums.Possess developed awareness and understanding of protocols to communicate effectively and sensitively with people from different cultural backgrounds, particularly Aboriginal people and Torres Strait Islander peoples.Evaluate QGAP operations to identify, resolve and make recommendations on processes and service delivery practices, including financial management to increase effectiveness and efficiency.Lead and ensure you establish and maintain a workplace safety culture by ensuring that all policies and practices concerning Workplace Health and Safety are applied and are a part of day-to-day operations.Mandatory Requirement: Class C driver's licenseApplications to remain current for 12 months.Occupational group: Administration
