BenefitsBe part of a supportive and stable working environmentWorking within a global teamMust have unlimited work rights in AustraliaAbout the companyWork within a large global Biotechnology company that boasts a good company culture that is always expanding.About the opportunityAs the QC Microbiologist, you will perform Microbial Content testing of raw materials, in-process/sFP products, and Water in compliance with quality standards and applicable government regulations to ensure product specifications are met within your QC team.Duties Perform routine Bioburden testing using pour plate, spread plate and membrane filtration techniquesPerform Biological indicator testingPerform Environmental Monitoring, including viable and non-viable monitoringParticipate in the investigation of out-of-specification results as requiredEnsure equipment and facilities are maintained/prepared in accordance with approved proceduresGeneral laboratory housekeeping and maintaining stock in the labUse of Microsoft Office applications, internal documentation, and Quality systemsPerform data entry in the Laboratory Information Management SystemSkills and ExperienceDegree in Microbiology or Science with further studies in Microbiology or equivalentKnowledge or working experience with Microbial content testing and microbial enumerationInventory management using SAPExperience within the pharmaceutical industryFamiliar with the USP/BP/EP compendial requirementsStrong pipetting skills and aseptic techniquesGood knowledge of the TGA (PICs) and FDA requirementsStrong GDP and GLP knowledgeAbility to work alone or with a small teamAbility to communicate effectivelyAbility to problem solve, investigate historical data & trends and be a critical thinkerCultureAlthough a large, global company, they are able to provide a family-like culture and prides itself in improving the lives of others.Why this opportunity is right for youThere are 6 month and 12-month contract positions available starting as soon as possible.
