Qc Laboratory Technician (Food)

About The Role
Our client, a food manufacturer with sites across Australia, is currently seeking a QC Laboratory Technician to join their Brisbane team, for a casual ongoing position, with the chance of permanency after December.
For this role you will be required to work full time hours, Monday to Friday 6am-2pm where you will be responsible for quality control testing of food products using basic laboratory techniques, preparing food samples and conducting sensory testing.

Skills & Experience
The successful applicant must have:
Qualifications in Chemistry, Food Technology or related discipline;
Experience in a food manufacturing environment and a food testing laboratory is essential;
Solid understanding of HACCP and food safety standards;
Basic laboratory experience such as pH, moisture content, rheology and NIR;
A good understanding of quality control and laboratory safety;
Your own reliable transport as this site is not accessible via public transport;
The ability to work autonomously with a proactive approach.
