Our Mission to be Bold and ImpactfulHow you ContributeAs Emesent's QC Coordinator, you will oversee and coordinate the quality control processes within the manufacturing department. This role ensures that all products meet the company's quality standards before they reach customers. The QC Coordinator will work closely with the manufacturing team, engineers, and quality assurance staff to identify and resolve quality issues and take preventative action.Note* This role is based in Wacol QLD.Here's what we needQuality Control Oversight:Work with Product Engineering and Manufacturing to implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure the manufacturing process meets company standards and to deliver successful outcomes to customers. Conduct regular audits of quality control processes to ensure compliance with internal and external quality standards.Testing and Inspection:Coordinate and conduct tests on products to identify any deviations from the desired quality (First Article Inspection, Incoming Parts and Finished Goods).Use precision measuring instruments and testing equipment to conduct inspections. Document and report inspection results, ensuring accurate record-keeping. Manage test and measuring equipment and tooling within the Manufacturing Facility to ensure compliance with company standards.Issue Resolution:Identify root causes of quality issues and work with the manufacturing team to implement corrective actions. Manage the resolution of product non-conformances with suppliers and internal stakeholders.Documentation and Reporting:Maintain detailed records of quality control processes, test results, and quality issues. Prepare and present reports on quality metrics to management. Ensure all documentation complies with regulatory requirements and company policies.Training and Development:Provide training to production staff on quality control processes and best practices. Stay updated with industry trends, quality standards, and technological advancements. Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality.Collaboration:Work closely with the engineering team to ensure the required quality control processes for new products are put in place. Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure incoming materials meet the required quality standards.How you'll succeedExperience:Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality control within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the production of electromechanical products.Skills:Strong understanding of quality control standards and methodologies. Proficiency in using quality control instruments and software. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Education:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, or a related field OR demonstrated relevant trade experience and training. Relevant certifications (e.g. Six Sigma, ISO 9001) (desirable).IPC-A-610 Certification (desirable).Working Conditions:May require occasional travel to suppliers or customers.
