About the role:
UGL are seeking an experienced QAQC Lead to join our team on an ongoing basis at a major Brownfields LNG plant in Karratha.
This role provides quality support and guidance to all project related personnel inclusive of Management, Project Engineers, disciplines Inspectors and site personnel with leading the effective implementation of the Project Quality policies, Quality Management plans and procedures into the project execution.
This role will see you lead and influence the Project team, ensuring all operations meet industry standards and project specifications.
Commencing ASAP, you will be working a 2/2 fly in fly out roster, point of hire is Perth, WA.
Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the QAQC team on a major brownfield project. Provide the necessary guidance and assistance for resolution of quality issues related to construction, engineering, technical queries, and materials. Develop, implement, and manage Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) to ensure comprehensive quality control. Monitor and manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), ensuring timely resolution and preventive measures. Implementation and maintenance of Quality Management Plans (QMPs). Conduct inspections, audits, and tests to verify the integrity and safety of materials and workmanship. Collaborate with engineering, construction, and operations teams to identify and resolve quality issues. Maintain detailed documentation and reporting of QAQC activities, ensuring compliance and transparency. About you: 5+ years' experience in a QAQC Lead role within the oil & gas sector or hazardous facility. 10+ years' relevant industry experience. Suitable Qualifications through an organisation such as CSWIP 3.1 or 3.2, AWS, WTIA, AICIP, or WA Electrical License with Certificate IV in Electrical Equipment Hazardous Areas (EEHA) dependent on discipline. Preferably the candidate would also hold NACE Coating Inspector (CIP) Level 2 but not essential. Knowledge and expertise of Quality practices, standards, systems and processes relevant to the operations of construction teams. Sound knowledge of ISO 9001, industry and best-practice standards and their relevance to the group. Proven expertise in developing and managing Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) and handling Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs). Excellent communication and leadership skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Familiarity with relevant safety regulations and industry best practices.
