As a Senior Technical Writer , you will be responsible for ensuring processes and procedures documentation is accurately developed in accordance with the relevant regulatory and governance standards.
Working in the Fleet Support Team with relevant stakeholders across Flight Ops and Technical Services, you will carry out technical writing of a variety of Qantas Airways managed documentation.
This documentation includes The Aircraft Suite of Manuals, Dispatch Deviation Guides, Component Maintenance Manuals, Minor Maintenance Manuals, Fueling Manuals, ETOPS Manuals among other airline manuals.
You will administer and oversee the process for editing and revising technical documentation, including engagement of relevant stakeholders, assuring that relevant change management processes have taken place when required.
Additionally, you will work with The Fleet Engineering Management as subject matter experts, to make changes and add value through your strong understanding of defined technical writing standards and presentation abilities.
You'll have:
Certificate IV in Aero skills or equivalent Strong Aircraft Maintenance/Airline Experience Thorough knowledge of Aircraft Maintenance systems and acronyms Aviation Technical Writing experience Knowledge of aircraft maintenance instructions, procedures, and their regulatory compliance and structure Proven experience in process management Attention to detail, with demonstrated low error rate Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team Interpersonal skills and ability to effectively liaise with stakeholders Ability to prioritise and work on multiple tasks concurrently Experience in working in an approved maintenance organisation (Desirable) Why Qantas?
